Rico Blanco launched at Q Bistro, Malayan Plaza, Ortigas, Warner Music Philippines, his first single “Yugto” which marked his personal comeback and entry in the Filipino music industry as a solo artist. His first album titled “Your Universe” was released on August 8, 2008.

The Apolinario Mabini Hiking Society, later popularly known as Apo Hiking Society or, simply, Apo, is a Filipino musical group[1]. The group had its fledgling beginnings in 1969 at the the Ateneo de Manila high school, with thirteen members[1]: Lito de Joya, Sonny Santiago, Gus Cosio, Renato Garcia, Chito Kintanar, Kenny Barton, Bruce Brown, Butch Dans, Kinjo Sawada, Ric Segreto, Goff Macaraeg, Doden Besa, Jim Paredes, and Boboy Garrovillo. The group’s name was an irreverent reference to the paralytic Filipino revolutionary intellectual and hero, Apolinario Mabini, and later shortened to “Apo”, an Ilocano term for a wise man or old man, and later re-branded to “APO”. Contrary to popular belief, the “Apo” name was not a reference to the Philippine volcano, Mount Apo.
